Aurora Borealis (northern lights), one of the world’s seven natural wonders, is the nature’s fireworks display. A myriad of colourful lights would come dancing in the night sky in the Arctic Circle during winter. We shall hunt for the northern lights via land and sea routes during this trip. First stop is Lofoten archipelago, where tranquil islands, majestic mountains, and deep fjords draped across the turbulent waters of the Norwegian Sea. The journey then continues by overnight cruise through the fjord to arrive at Norway’s “Aurora Capital” – Tromso. This is a journey full of stunning visual feast, from natural landscapes to natural phenomena.

Rorbeur are historic fishermen’s cabin renovated as tourist accommodation, the red wooden huts dotted the shoreline. After dinner, get ready your tripod and set-up camera position to wait for northern lights sighting, capture postcard perfect pictures with snow-capped peaks, rorbuer, sea view, and aurora in the backdrop.
Enjoy a relaxing day in the picturesque Reine village, encircled by granite peaks shooting out of the Reinefjorden. The deep blue sea waters mirrored the image of surrounding snowy mountains and deep fjord. Stroll around the village and nearby hamlets to find the best angle to capture the stunning scenery on film. Visit local supermarket for grocery shopping for self-catering meals. At night, stay up late for aurora sighting.
