Price Details

Fee includes:

  1. Accommodation (3 star hotel in Kathmandu, budget hotel in Pokhara, 2-sharing basis; during the trek, basic trekking lodges along the trail, 2-3 sharing basis)
  2. Transports
  3. Trekking permit
  4. International Travel insurance (only for Malaysia-based tour members, the point of embarkation and return must be Malaysia. Overseas based members, please acquire own policy, the charges included in LevArt’s costing shall be deducted from tour fee)
  5. Porter (2 pax/porter)
  6. Nepal visa on arrival fee

Fee excludes:

  1. Kuala Lumpur-Kathmandu round-trip flights (Air Asia or MAS, estimated price RM 1,800 - 1,900; once the trip is confirmed ON, LevArt shall provide flight details for members to buy own tickets online)
  2. Meals
  3. Tips (for Nepali trekking guides and porters)
  4. Expenses incurred during free and easy
  5. Optional activities or entertainment
  6. Additional cost due to unforeseen calamity (acts of god).

Payment terms:

A non-refundable deposit (unless tour cancelled by LevArt) of RM 1,000 is payable to secure booking. Balance fee RM 2,500 to be collected upon booking deadline or when the tour is fully booked.

Terms & Conditions

Your travel has been booked with Levartravel Sdn Bhd (referred as LevArt herein), on the basis of the following terms and conditions:

  1. Tour: all LevArt tours are published on www.levart.com.my, please ensure you have read, understand, and agree to all details stated for the tour package you are interested in prior to booking.
  2. Tour Fee: all rates are quoted per person in Malaysia Ringgit (RM). LevArt reserves the right to alter the fee in the event of a significant spike in fuel prices, airfares, and foreign exchange rates.
  3. Tour Booking: all bookings must be registered and confirmed via LevArt official website or email to levartjourney@gmail.com, by furnishing personal details: full name (as in passport), mobile contact, and gender.
  4. Booking Fee: once confirmed tour registration, a non-refundable deposit as stated in individual itinerary’s price details is payable to secure booking. The deposit can be returned in full if LevArt cancelled the tour, for reasons such as insufficient number of participants, or unforeseen calamity (acts of god), etc.
  5. Balance Fee Payment: full payment upfront upon booking deadline or when the tour is fully booked. If registered tour member failed to make payment a month after LevArt issued balance fee collection notification, the booking will be cancelled and deposit forfeited.
  6. Tour Cancellation & No Show:
    • If a tour member wish to pull-out after full payment, LevArt may consider partial refund based on a case-to-case review. A RM200 administrative fee applied, and cost that has incurred for the tour arrangement applied.
    • If prior to departure, tour member’s visa application is rejected, may opt for tour cancellation and refund, but cost that has incurred for the tour arrangement applied.
    • If a tour member pulled out 1 month before tour departure, 100% tour fee non-refundable.
    • Cancellation must be formally informed via email to levartjourney@gmail.com, verbal cancellation unacceptable.
    • 100% charge will be applied for No Show booking.
    • After commence of travel, no refund in part or in full will be given for services included in the booking and not utilized by the tour member.
  7. Itinerary Amendment: itineraries may subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances beyond LevArt’s control. Every effort will be made to operate tours as planned, but alterations in accommodation arrangement, tour program, travel date, may occur when deem necessary.
  8. Travel Documents: tour member must possess a valid passport and is responsible for obtaining necessary visa prior to departure. LevArt cannot accept responsibility for your failure to ensure that you have correct travel information. We are not in any way liable if you are subsequently denied entry/deported at your destination due to your failure to follow the correct travel document procedures.
  9. Travel Insurance: LevArt tours included travel insurance to protect tour members. If a tour member has an existing policy, the insurance charges included in LevArt’s costing shall be deducted from tour fee. LevArt cannot be held responsible for any losses as a result of you being inadequately insured/ without insurance.
  10. Contents and T&C Amendment: LevArt reserves the rights to update or modify website contents and clauses in terms and conditions without prior notice, please check and keep tab of changes by browsing our website regularly.

Reminders

  • This tour requires physical fitness, it is advisable that tour members train their stamina for at least two months before departure (eg: go for daily exercise, jogging, swimming, or gym, etc).
  • A preparation checklist will be provided prior to departure, containing information such as gears needed for the trek, packing list, money matters, etc.
  • Along the trekking trail, some tea lodges require extra fee for hot shower and charging electronic items.

Hardship Levelrate-1

  • The most challenging is D4 of the trek, some 3,500 steps uphill, requires stamina.
  • Trekking lodge along the trail has hot water supply, but some depended on solar power, thus the temperature for hot shower is unstable.
  • Day and night temperature gap is huge; colder in higher altitude places.

Itinerary

The Poon Hill trekking trail in Annapurna ranges of the Himalayas could be completed within 4 to 5 days, difficulty level is relatively low, hence it is an ideal trek for people with limited time and beginner trekkers. The trek offers spectacular vista views of snow-capped peaks like Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I and III, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre, and Glacier Dome. The Poon Hill has one of the best vantage points to admire sunrise over the Himalayas.


DAY 01 : Kuala Lumpur – Kathmandu (4h30m flight)

Depart from Kuala Lumpur in the morning, arrival in Nepal's capital city Katmandu around noon. Transfer to hotel in Thamel area, a backpacker and shopping district, where you can get supplies needed for the trek ahead.


DAY 02 : Katmandu – Pokhara (200km/ 6h drive)

Board a tourist bus in the morning to Pokhara. A scenic drive through the countryside, views of terraced-farms and villages nestled among green hills and valleys. Arrive at the lakeside town surrounded by mountains in the afternoon. Overnight in Pokhara.


DAY 03 : Pokhara - Tikhedhunga (1577m/ 4h trek)

Drive for about an hour to Nayapul, the starting point to trek to Tikhedhunga, a village mainly resided by Gurung ethnic of Buddhism faith. An easy hike along the banks of Modi Khola River, on the way views of terraced rice fields. Overnight at a teahouse lodge.


DAY 04 : Tikedhunga - Ghorepani (2855m/ 6h trek)

The trail today begins with a steep climb to Ulleri, by ascending through some 3,500 stone steps, before pushing ahead to Ghorepani. The trail offers views of rhododendron forest, scenic villages, and a variety of flora and fauna.


DAY 05 : Ghorepani – Poon Hill – Tadapani (2523m/ 6h trek)

Rise early and hike to Poon Hill (3245 m) to view sunrise over the Himalayas; admire vista view of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Fishtail and more. Later, descent back to Ghorepani for breakfast, before trekking to Tadapani through dense forest resided by a variety of monkeys, birds, and other animals.


DAY 06 : Tadapani – Sauli Bazar (1200m/ 5h trek)

The trail from Tadapani is also use by mule caravans to transport supplies to surrounding mountain settlements. Today’s trek is relatively easy, descending all the way to Gandruk, the second largest village in the Annapurna ranges. After lunch in Gandruk, continue trekking downhill until Sauli Bazar. Overnight in a lodge by the river.


DAY 07 : Sauli Bazar – Nayapul – Pokhara (2h trek + 1h drive)

The last day of the trek, flat trail to the end-point (also starting point) at Nayapul, where a bus is waiting to take the group back to Pokhara. Upon arrival at the lakeside town, free & easy, you may opt to rent a bicycle to explore the surroundings, or take a stroll through the shopping district, or reward yourself with sumptuous meals. Pokhara has a wide range of western and oriental cuisines to choose from; throw in a few drinks at bars.


DAY 08 : Pokhara – Kathmandu (200km/ 6h drive)

Take a tourist bus back to Kathmandu, upon arrival check-in to hotel in Thamel district. You could explore nearby shopping district (lots of open-air markets and shops), or take a walk to the legendary Freak Street, which was once a hippies haven. Kathmandu is a great place for street photography.


DAY 09 : Kathmandu

Free & easy day, you could join a city sightseeing day-trip (optional) or simply explore interesting sites on foot. Among the historical and cultural heritage sites include Kathmandu Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the Monkey Temple, and Buddhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in the world.


DAY 10 : Kathmandu – Kuala Lumpur (4h30m flight)

After lunch, transfer to airport, board an afternoon flight back to Kuala Lumpur, arrival at night, end of tour.
